Daddy’s Dinner Table.

Imagine dining with the Lord. What would His dinner table look like? What should you wear? What offering should you bring? Would you bring an offering or incense or a sacrifice of praise? His table is always overflowing with good things and would He withhold it from His children?

Personally, I’d bring a heart of gratitude and a sacrifice of praise. I’d bring my cup for a refill. I wouldn’t try to please Him with my outward appearance as the condition of my heart is more important. I Samuel 16:7 But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look on his appearance or on the height of his stature, because I have rejected him. For the Lord sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart.”

You don’t invite guests to your home and expect them to bring dinner. You provide dinner. It’s the same with the Lord. When He invites you to partake at His table, go and partake. He is always willing to impart to those who have put their hand on the plough and are laboring for the Kingdom. You can’t fill a full vessel and neither can the Lord impart more to a vessel that has not been emptied. His dinner table is a place for restoration, rejuvenation, refreshing, and impartation and all who labor for Him, He renews.

He renews and restores my soul whenever I‘m in need. I love that! So I serve Him because I know, my cup will never go un-replenished, it will always overflow because His table is always open for me and you when we need to partake of His goodness. Sitting there, at His table with Him, listening to Him, and conversing with Him is enough for me but then He says take and go to the harvest field and you know what? His presence always goes with me. It never leaves me for I am His. His dinner table is not just open at that particular time of night or day when we pray, it’s for always. Accept His invitation and dine with Him.
