Endure – It’s On Its way

2 Corinthians 1:20 For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us

I was waiting for God to fulfill what He’d spoken to me. It wasn’t an easy road and many times I was hurt, disappointed, discouraged but I held on even when hope seemed distant. Many times I saw the impossibility and many times I saw the possibility. I cried many times because as the journey progressed so did my battles. I felt like I had a reached the end of my rope. Sanity seemed to escape me sometimes.

Isaiah 40:31 But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.

The mountains were big but what was amazing about this journey was my God was greater than all I had to endure. I had friends who’d believed with me in the beginning. They cheered me on. They offered to pray because they said; they saw the vision and believed it was from God. As time went by, they slowly faded into the background and I was left walking alone. No more loyalty. No more prayers. No more encouragement. They didn’t believe. They didn’t see the vision. Some tried to sabotage God plans. Some wanted me to give up. Some used their silence to pass on the message. Even then, the promise spoke louder. The sun never set on Gods vision. To birth His greatness, we have to be refined by fire. A diamond isn’t beautiful when first harvested but with the right amount of curing, it sparkles.

Psalm 121:1-2 I will lift up my eyes to the hills from whence comes my help? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.

My soul weary and my feet heavy with fatigue I kept looking to the one who made the promise. I kept standing on His word. I kept on calling and crying out to Him. In all things He was faithful. He never wavered. He was constant. He was my biggest cheerleader. Even when I was ready to let go, He held on to me. He picked me up and carried me until my strength returned then walked hand in hand with me. He reminded me that His promises are yea and amen. He told me His word will not return to Him void. He told me He will never leave me nor forsake me. He told me He is my rest. So I ran to Him time and time again. I looked to Him even when I didn’t see the promise. I laid down my ambition. I surrendered my desires. I sought His will no matter what. I knew I wasn’t going to quit. I knew I wasn’t going to be put to shame. I knew that God was using me for something greater even though I didn’t know what it was. I yielded to the leading of the Holy Spirit. I crucified the flesh and sought His will. I refused to let go and I stood my ground and said “Lord, you are my anchor and I know I’m secure in You.”

Psalm 121:5-6 The Lord is your keeper; the Lord is your shade at your right hand. The sun shall not strike you by day, nor the moon by night.

Then, it came. His promise came. I remember that day like it was yesterday. I remember His joy when I saw it, my soul wrapped itself in the wonder of who God is as my knees bowed down in worship. He gave me a new song that day and I still sing it this day. It is the song of praise. The highest form of praise; a mighty hallelujah!

My friend, don’t give up. If He spoke, He will do it. Lean on Him more than you lean on others. Find your encouragement in Him. Seek only His will no matter what the situation looks like. Desire His best for you and chose not to settle. Ignore the naysayers and remember, Gods word will never ever return to Him void. His voice is life giving. When He speaks something will always happen. Hang in there and remain in Him, seek Him for Him and watch Him work things in your favor. Be blessed always.

Psalm 9:1 I will praise You, O Lord, with my whole heart; I will tell of all Your marvelous works.
