Ezekiel 33:7-9

“So you, son of man: I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel; therefore you shall hear a word from My mouth and warn them for Me. When I say to the wicked, ‘O wicked man, you shall surely die!’ and you do not speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood I will require at your hand. Nevertheless if you warn the wicked to turn from his way, and he does not turn from his way, he shall die in his iniquity; but you have delivered your soul.

When I read this, it struck me again how obedience is key to our calling. Would we fully step out and be all He’s called us to? have we picked up our cross as Jesus instructed?

This really got my attention So you, son of man: I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel..” A watchman is a person who watches or or keeps guard over something so when God has made you a watchman over His people, purpose in your heart to be obedient. Be a voice to a dying world that desperately needs Jesus and preach the only gospel that saves souls – the gospel of Jesus Christ. My prayer is for all of us who have been commissioned to go out into all the world; to step into our assignments and do it obediently and preach Jesus. No one is perfect and God is merciful but may we all have a desire to fulfill our mandate and run our race with endurance and finish strong. Love you all – blessings above and beyond.

    1. Wow! Thank you so much for sharing it. Wednesday in church during worship, I heard the church needs to be on its knees. I got on my knees and started repenting on behalf of the church. I was reminded of Abraham interceding for Sodom and Gomorrah. God bless you Yolanda.
